Lecturer opportunity

We’re seeking a motivated and learner-focused Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our college team. You’ll teach across a range of programmes including T Level Health programmes and established BTEC Level 3 courses - delivering knowledge, building skills, and creating inclusive learning experiences. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact.

What you’ll do:

Plan and deliver learning

  • Design and deliver inclusive, high-quality lessons.
  • Create engaging learning materials tailored to diverse learner needs.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner progress.

Support learner development

  • Guide academic and personal development through tutorials and pastoral care.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner progress and engagement.

Enhance curriculum and quality

  • Keep course content current and aligned with industry standards.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.

Collaborate and uphold standards

  • Work with colleagues and external partners to enrich the learner experience.
  • Promote and uphold safeguarding, equality, and health and safety policies.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need:

  • A relevant subject qualification (e.g. degree or equivalent).
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Level 2 English and Maths (e.g. GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent).
  • The ability to plan and deliver effective, inclusive teaching for diverse learners.
  • Knowledge of subject-specific pedagogy and current teaching practices in further or higher education.
  • Clear communication and strong organisational skills.
  • Confidence using digital tools to support learning.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and ongoing professional development.

Desirable:

  • Experience delivering BTEC, NCFE, or T-Level Business qualifications.
  • Knowledge of current industry practices and trends.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used in business education.

Role description

To teach, assess and manage the progress of students studying Health and Social Care.
